Noise Pollution

I really really don't like the sentry guns. They are way overpowered, and suck a lot of the strategy out of Titan Mode. If you're defending, just put sentry guns in each hallway. If you're attacking, try to crawl just barely into the hallway far enough to put down your own sentry gun. And the noise is awful!!! If you're on a titan, expect to hear a constant loud vibrating buzzy sound in the background, with a high pitched tinkly sound wherever the bullets are hitting the wall.
Oh, and gameplay on the titans is very jerky. At least for me. I think it's the same issue as BF2 had when there were a lot of vehicles around.

I don't think its that bad. I don't think you should be able to be hit through the wall. Titan can get pretty laggy.
I just ran a round of CQ and used the basic asault weapon. It was probably my best killing streak to date.
I had never really used it before. Its the weapon for kills though. Even got in a couple shotgun kills

Forgot to say I am so proud of myself for getting a Titan survival thingy. Knowing the parachute key really helps

You know, I was wondering why people bothered rushing out when
the game was over anyway...makes more sense now.
I've jumped off quite a few times, even managed to open my chute
(in more recent times
) but have yet to get the pin. Guess I haven't
managed to reach the ground yet.
I had fun yesterday waiting outside while people ran out, I got at
least 3 kills on one occassion.
As far as the noise and lag on the titans, yup, it gets pretty bad.
Feels like my head's spinning off sometimes with all the confusion
on the titan towards the end when it really heats up. It's fun though,
what I imagine a really intense fire-fight would be like, though the
lag is a pain in the butt.

I maxed out the assault branch with the more heavy assault weapon...it sucks. Short range it's nice, a little more stopping power, but I can't seem to hit anything from a distance, even prone in single shot mode....useless.
At the risk of sounding like Bort, I find the power balance on the 2142 weapons to be horrible....furture weapons my a$$.

Are you talking about the heavy assault rifle (Baur) or the light one (Voss)? I don't have either yet. But from what I've read, the Voss has a higher rate of fire while the Baur does more damage per shot. So I thought Voss would be good for close quarters types who like to spray everywhere, while Baur would be better at longer distances in single shot mode. Is that not right? I want whichever one is better at distances in single shot mode, since that's more my style. I already have two unlocks towards the Voss, but none towards the Baur. So if Voss is better for me, then I'll probably take smoke grenades so I can get to it. Otherwise, I'm going to go up the other assault branch next (shotgun, helmet, rocket launcher, Baur).

Yes, I unlocked the Baur. For some reason it's impossible to hit anything from a distance, and not a large distance either. Example, I'm above a bridge looking down at an enemy running up the bridge just below me having no idea where I am/where fire is coming from. Normally an easy kill right? Wrong. I empty an entire clip, s-l-o-w-l-y and hit him maybe twice. He keeps going and someone runs over him with a jeep... *
sigh* As many JiF'ers can attest, I'm not a bad shot, the weapon just may as well be a shotgun for all the good it does from more than 10-15 feet.
I've found the shot gun and the rocket alternative on the two assault weapons to be pretty good, though the rate of fire for the shotgun is tough so you have to really consider your target....and the rocket, well, another problem, I've hit another player in the chest with it and they didn't go down...yet I can take out a jeep with a few shots?
I haven't tried the Voss yet, probably try that next. Be nice to have something with a little accuracy besides the sniper rifle.
