Help for Warhawk
I'm not banned, and it's not an auto kick,, but lately and as always using [JiF] General WarHawk, I've been getting kicked from the server. It's not everyday, just sometimes for the whole day. I live pretty near to the server so lag time shouldn't be an issue, as the ping is pretty low compared to Moongamers or the german servers.
Have also noticed that the screen is jittery and skippy before it happens. Could be an issue here, I don't know. Wondered if you could reset the server, to clear the cache, and that might work on that end a bit. I'm working here to solve whatever problem it could be as well, including getting a new cable modem.

I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess.

Re: Help for Warhawk
Assuming you can connect to other servers OK it would then obviously be a problem on ours.
Have you sent a PM to Mike? I think he's the uber administrator for the 42 server.

Last night it was kind of goofy, but generally I can play in the Midway Server, or the Moon Gamers without a problem.

The only problem with Moongamers is that my life expectancy is about 20 seconds. They are either very good or hacking like hell.

Re: Help for Warhawk
There's so many people on Moon Gamers. It's the most popular server. Some folks spend/give $1600 to keep that server running apiece. Yeah, I was surprised too.
It's our server. I got kicked tonight trying to help on Tobruk. I'm not able to stay connected. I can do a whole map or ten anywhere else, but lately I can't stay logged in for more than a minute.

Re: Help for Warhawk
I searched all through the logs and couldn't find any messages about you being kicked.
Is anyone else having any trouble? I know it's not what you want to hear but if no one else is having trouble I don't think it's a problem with the server. I have restarted the server though.
One suggestion I can think of: is your Punkbuster up to date? This game is so old now if you do a clean install I think you have to manually update your Punkbuster with the latest info. The latest info is a few years old as Punkbuster for 42 is no longer supported. I think there are instructions on the forum somewhere....
Here's a thread with some info.
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3747" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Do you see any message when you get disconnected? Does it happen on map change or just randomly?

LT Waterboy had some issues, but they were windows 7 related.
Everyone else seems to be OK.
I'll bet you are right Mike, that is is PB related

Re: Help for Warhawk
When playing 1942 on a Win 7 PC I find that I get kicked (or crash to desktop or drop out during map change) whenever I adjust Antialiasing (AA) or Anisotropic Filtering (AF) using the Catalyst Control Center. Just a thought.

Re: Help for Warhawk
Since the reset I haven't had any issues.
I wasn't getting a message, just "You've been disconnected from the server" And it was so haphazard.
I use WinXp64, so I can address a larger memory. I was having issues with Win7 and the game as I wasn't getting any sound. Since I have an Audigy Gold, I have to say the sound is awesome.

Hehehee, that was so good.

I'm still having issues with our server. I even went so far as to remove the JiF tag, and still had no effect. I don't have any problems elsewhere, though I did get kicked from Moongamers once when I first popped in after getting kicked out of JiF.
I wonder what version of the game we are running? Perhaps I'm not playing a compatible version.
