Looking for a new tower

Post by [JiF]major confusion »

OK I've got $1200 burning a hole in my pocket. What do I buy to get a decent pc for gaming but still have some of the other bells and whistles.

Thanks!

you looking at building your own or an off the shelf product? Are you looking for something that can play what is out there or for what might be coming?

wish I could transfer my peanuts into real cash so I could look for an upgrade too.

i'm not in to building, so I guess it would be what's out there off the shelf now.

If you don't want to get a kit, check out some of the preconfigured models at tigerdirect.com

Recommendations:
Hi End video card (so many options and prices for gaming)
as many "cores" as you can afford processor, Win 7 64 bit O/S
SSD Drive
16GB Ram

oops, I just blew the budget

I've seen some very nice gaming rigs for sale on Ebay. They start low, but bid 500 right off the bat, cause that's about what they go for. Usually they top at $790. Myself if I had a lot of green, I'd go to Falcon Northwest and spend $35,000 for their most insane piece of equipment. I'm waiting for them to make Johnny #5 next.
I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess.
