Make sure video drivers are up to date and run the program as administrator.

Check the forums. I know we have discussed this before

Thanks guys for the help, but to no avail. :(

Tried the Moongamers website - the downloads I tried still didnt do the trick.

Not sure if it is PB or something else. All my stuff is up to date, so i guess i will just have to grit my teeth & bear it!!!

is your shortcut set to XP compatibility mode and to "run as administrator"?

Have you tried with AV/Firewall disabled?

I just changed the shorcut settings - we will see if that helps.

My FW settings are set to allow already, hope that is good enough.

wish me luck!

Try with FW disabled
Sometimes it will slow down traffic to much while validating packets

Brick,

Knocking on wood....

I think adjusting the shortcut properties as you suggested worked (played for more maps in a row than ever b4 w/o crashin)

Wow...forgot all about those "run in compatibility modes & administrator settings"...thanks! :)

Ugh...spoke too soon.

Crashing again.

I even turned off the firewall to public connections (left personal on). Still crashed.... waaaahhhh!!! ;(

I think it's something to do with our server, I got kicked considerably the other day, and couldn't understand it. It only happens rarely on Moongamers and 5th MR. Though I must say, the list of servers that are active, and not using the new Downloaded version of BF is growing smaller by the month. There were 5 servers doing that Mod we did a few months ago, now there are none.

Daft,

where was the BloodGod post at?

And I am not too sure it is the server - I even got kicked doing SINGLE PLAYER!!!! Doh!!!
it has to be some sort of comapatability thingy like Brick and the gang are saying on my setup - just cant figure out exactly what.

It's interesting you mention that. I can't do single player on my machine. It just bombs the game. For some unknown reason, whenever I want to do the campaigns or just a map, it crashes.

I do also think I need to replace Essen, that that map has become corrupted somehow, cause whenever it comes up lately, in say the SW server, I get kicked with a "Map Not Found" error message.

Last night the 1st map I tried to play crashed to desktop.
I realised I was using a new shortcut in my Raser game booster.
When I checked it was using the original game app which I had not tweaked. So I changed the comparability to XP SP3 and had no problems for he next 4 hours.

What did you tweak? I'm using the same thing I installed awhile ago. I don't have anything modified that I am aware of, other than the 1.4 and 1.44 update that has to be done to play online.
