Important thing to know if you are thinking of getting GW2

GW2 has a nice feature that scales your level to the zone you are in. What that means is that unlike say DDO or WoW, it's possible for a level 5 player to group with a level 30 player, and have it be fun for both players. The level 30 will be scaled down to level 7 or so, and will still get some benefits from the group.

So if someone joins now, they won't be left behind because the rest of us are at higher levels. We may have to re-do zones and quests we've already done, but the fun is in the playing. In fact, some of us may take the opportunity to start a new character and level up with you.
