Re: Battlefield 3: Armored Kill
Looks like the b****rd son of BF:BC2 & BF3
Still it did look pretty awesome. As much as I am enjoying playing Close Quarters, I think by September I am going to be ready for something new.
Cheers for the heads up there Cowhide

Re: Battlefield 3: Armored Kill
Dear God! This is my wet dream... helos, tanks, a C130! Nothing makes me happier than sitting in a tank with my guy riding gunner/3rd seat and dominating Firestorm. Close quarters has been cool and all, but man do I love me some helo and tank action. Can't wait!

Re: Battlefield 3: Armored Kill
I've been doing some reading on it... it appears the AC130 is just a gunner position vehicle. 2 seats... one for AA, one for arty. AI pilot. Your team can spawn and base jump from it. Works similar to the bomber group in '43, where you have to capture a flag to call the plane. Probably just as well - I can see some idiot trying to pilot it to a flag and bailing out 1000 ft from the ground with a full crew like the Huey.

Re: Battlefield 3: Armored Kill
yeah, it wont be flyable it will just orbit on a set path, but in the video you see one of the gunners shoot down an fighter, I expect it will probably take 4-5 AAMs to take it down, there would be little point in having it if it was easy to shoot down.
I thought is was a 3 seat vehicle where there was AA, a minigun and the 105 howitzer, at least that was what was speculated early on
Trog- you will have lost some of the guys with the reference to the bombing run in '43 - those behind the times PC players never actually got to play it.

Re: Battlefield 3: Armored Kill
So what's with North America getting it 3 days before Europe?
We all got Close Quarters at the same time, so why the change now?
