EoD V2.4 Upgrade

We will be upgrading our EoD mod from V2.31 to V2.4 starting Friday 13th April.
It's time to do this because all the other main EoD servers are already at V2.4.

You will need to install the EoD V2.4 files on your PC , the files can be downloaded here at

Don't install the new version until Sunday 8th April because we will still be at V2.31 this weekend

Hey Phil:

It is a Free BF42 "Mod" that we now play on Friday & Saturday.
We then play the BG42 Mod on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Then Regular BF42 on Wednesday & Thursday.

You should download the mods and give them a try!

Hi Philippe , I hope that you are recovering well after your surgery and that you will be back to full fitness soon.

You don't need to have Battle Group installed because EoD is a full mod in itself. If you already have an old version of EoD installed (which you probably don't) then
you must delete the old version before running the 3 v2.40 EoD install programs. Please note that the 3 EoD install programs are quite large , each one is approximately 1.3 Gb
so it may take you some time to download them.

It is Daft but if everyone can make a sunday or other day then the JiF Server Gods can make things happen - its amazing what they will do for a small devotional sacrafice (e.g. the symbolic burning of a MoBo or the ritual slaughter of a procession of Bots)

I've got it installed.
Don't know what all the fuss is about the download, it took about 20 minutes per file for me. Oh yes I have got an FTB connection running at 37.5 MBs .
Now I've managed to iron out the punkbuster wrinkles (no longer getting kicked for not shaking his hand!! ) I can play on the Old School Jiffy server again.
Going to be hard not keep pushing the sprint button, I've found L Shift seems to have the total opposite effect in BF42

I D/L the first part when this thread started but never finished and I had to take 42 off my Laptop as PB was causing issues at work.

I'll get the rest tonight and re-install 42 etc.. but its gonna take ages
