old Map pack/BF42 tech problems

I installed the old mod maps( D-day +1, etc), now BF42 won't boot up.
Anyone else run into this?

Make sure you put the maps in the correct directory.
Putting them in the wrong place can make that happen

yo duff, happened to me too last time we were playing together, i think we just played Hellendorn & the next map was Omaha Day 1, been kicked out too cause the map was not found although everything´s properly installed, think this happend also to top because the server was completely empty after this, happens to me also with other new/old maps and sometimes it helps to rejoin the server after being kicked out (cause map was not found) and after rejoining it works out sometimes, don´t know why...

Reinstalled everything and backed it up between "upgrades" and BG install sequences. So next time I do not have to do a complete 2 hour reinstall, just a 15 minute file transfer from my backup drive.

BF42 file must have gotten corrupted originally when I installed the Map packs.


Curtis, you are right about the Omaha Day 1 snafu.
