The BC2 server is now running Hardcore mode.

This enhancement turns off the kill cam, eliminates many HUD elements, introduces friendly fire, and turns up the weapon damage to create a more realistic war experience.

Haha the mini map is nice, but I hate how unrealistic the regular mode is. The fact that I can put a full clip of at least 30 rounds into someone and they don't go down is completely ridiculous. You get shot once in a actual battlefield, and you're going down. In my opinion, HC mode is much better. It is not much different though, and there are plenty of hc servers to practice on.

I like harcore mode but the spotting with the mini map is nice. Although if you press m to bring up the full map you can still see what has been spotted . This works if you need to know where a tank or a sniper is, as long as your hiding and have time to look at the map.

That's good to know, I was thinking HC mode meant spotting was useless.

Sounds good. It is a bit frustrating to unload a clip in some guy's back, or put a rifle nade at his feet, only to see him turn around and kill you.
