Star Wars: The Old Republic

This trailer pretty much sums up everything I love about Star Wars. I played SWG like a drug addict for awhile but finally stop playing once they released those glorious new game enhancements. Seeing that we will have a new Star Wars MMO in 2011 made by Bioware, I can finally stop hating $OE.

There hasn't been much information released about this game, the developers are keeping it under wraps and are only releasing bits of information for parts of the game that are working and are not subject to change.

As of right now here's what has been released so far...

Classes:
-Republic
-Trooper
-Smuggler
-Jedi Knight
-Jedi Consular

-Sith
-Bounty Hunter
-Imperial Agent
-Sith Warrior
-Sith Inquisitor

Planets:
-Tython
-Korriban
-Hutta
-Ord Mantell
-Coruscant
-Balmorra
-Alderaan
-Tatooine
-Dromund Kass
-Taris
-Belsavis

I've been waiting for this a long time.

Good i'm getting a new computer in late 2010/2011. But it will be P2P? Can't expect a MMORPG game to be otherwise.

Yea it's about time this has come up, Looks like an awesome game, what really caught my eye in the trailer was all of the sith sabers that popped out of the dark, immediately thought... "epic battle imminant"

Well, I know what I'm pre-ordering ASAP. The epic battle scene made my inner geek giggle and skip with joy :what:

Awesome! I'm glad to see im not the only one geeked about this game. Of course there is no mention of payment model, however I heard there was some possible talk of micro transactions. Unfortunately this will be a P2P game, I just hope its not Micro transactions, the standard $15/month is fine with me.

Pvt. Harrick, I felt the same way the first time I saw this haha.

Haha yeah, I can't wait. Only bad thing is that it will be another damn MMO that will take up a bunch of my time, but I'm not going to be able to resist it. I love Star Wars wayyyy to much lol. I know Riceman will be addicted to this game like a drug addict. If it is anywhere near his former addiction to Star Wars Galaxies.

Okay, I just signed up at the website and it turns out they're letting people potentially play test the closed beta in rotating groups =)

Now to choose...Bounty Hunter or Trooper? Hmmm....

Unfortunately the beta sign up came out months ago, so who knows when it will actually take place.

I'm having a hard time deciding as well, I almost wish the classes weren't faction aligned, but that wouldn't really make sense for the jedi/sith classes. I'm looking at possible bounty hunter or sith warrior, but i can't decide what I like more... Jet packs and flamethrowers, or light sabers and force choke...... :?
