When I go to reply to a post when I'm the last poster it automatically uses it as an edit to my last post.
This also does not update the last post date on the topic. So even if the last post was 2days old and you reply ( to bump the topic)
it registers it as an edit but never adjust the date on the main page of the forums.
Hope this makes sense.

Unfortunately Buick I'm not a tech, but it sounds to me like you may need to have your gear tweaked/a fresh install?
I don't know what if any AV or preventative measures you use to safe guard your system, but if you run your maintenance protocols and they yield nothing I would seriously consider a reformat especially if you haven't a tune-up in over 6 months?
Hope this helps?

Buick, that's a feature of the board to keep the number of posts smaller and to keep someone from spamming a topic with new posts. There's nothing wrong.
