bf 42 patch

where can I down load the bf 42 patch or patches ? I tried to dwn load them on the forums but they were not available . I'm installing bf42 on my lap top since my desk top cpu is not working .

ok , I down loaded the patch , but when I try to get on the server I get a message that says I have the wrong version .

what did I do wrong ?

Hmm, it looks like the link Gav gave you was the version 1.6. And you need the version 1.61b.

Hmm sorry about that, just went on to patch page & that as all that was on offer so guessed it would be the latest bag of patches. We are so slow in the UK always lagging behind with this technology thing.

Just a quick note, you need to install the 1.6 patch then the 1.61b incremental patch
if you install the 1.61b before the 1.6 it will not work properly

The patches are available in the Downloads section of the forums. Did you get an error message when you tried to download them?

When I clicked on the link to download the patches on the forums , I get this message
404 Not Found
The requested URL /jif/downloads/bf1942/patches/battlefield_1942_patch_v1.6.19.exe does not exist. this message shows up for both of the patches .

I'm trying to install Battlefield on my lap top . my desk top unit is out of order .

I'm able to play bf on Hamsters desk top unit , But wanted to install it on my lap top so I didn't have to use Hamsters computer

also when I down loaded the patches that Lt. Gav & Cesar posted punk buster tell me that there outdated ,

not sure what I did wrong
I installed them in the order that Lt. Gav had suggested but no Luck

Last night I used the 2 links in Cesar's post of 31st October above to patch the install on my new machine.
No problems with game play from PB everything worked fairly fine & dandy. The game crashed out every 3 or 4 maps, but hey ho small inconvenience!

Could it be the version of windows that is on the laptop ? its running windows Vista , could that be my problem ?
