I think you need to be Squint Eastwood to solve that one.
So Sir in questions 2 & 3 your brain is ignoring the small words!! You need to read them much more slowly than you have been & focus on each word rather than thinking of it as a sentence.
That's all I will say for now.

As for no3, besides having the word 'the' twice, I still don't see anything peculiar, unless the repeating of the word 'the' is the catch.
