Quick question
So what does a guy have to do to become a "tagged JIF "player?
do I have to post a few posts on the forum?
be seen in the server all the time?
be recommended by a jif player?

It's pretty simple...

Play fair, post a bit to let us get to know you a little better (Teamspeak helps), and have fun

I have decided to produce and sell a strong alcoholic drink called "Responsibly".
That way everyone in the country can get wasted drinking Responsibly.
And all the other drinks makers will be advertising for me on their cans with the slogan "please drink Responsibly".
Probably will annoy the government as well.

Re: Quick question
When I became a Jif member, things were a little harder-
I first had to sneak away to my office at home and hide from the family so they wouldn’t interrupt "business"
Then while in the midst of this “business”, I had to learn to die a lot because of certain Jif members cheating using aim bots, hacks and other nefarious illegal programs and tactics!! (Ok, there was no cheating, aim bots, etc, but there was a guy there named lt. water boy that was my nemesis! I hated that guy! still do even though he went on to Vista and better games I suppose...)
After this rogue lifestyle had run its course and I was sufficiently humbled by the weight of Jif force against me, I started to move slowly ahead. A dim light shown on me and I stumbled to it ever so slowly.... sometimes in a daze, other times lucent.
Dreaming of higher scores and some payback for the pain of defeat and minor humiliation, I moved into the days of focused rage and fury!
Not caring about my own safety, I stormed into battle- ready to die for the cause at any and every turn! I will fight! I will win! I will KILL! (This may be where the whole KEEELING thing really started, buried in my psyche...)
Day after day I hammered the keyboard, clicked my mouse and shook my fists at the monitor displaying the leader-board and the end of battle.
Scars were formed, bandages were applied, sleep was lost but I would not be denied!
“All will pay! All will die! Everything will be destroyed!" Went through my thoughts as the light grew brighter and brighter.... pulling me into a swirling vortex of cacophony and bullets.
Sounds were everywhere and reputations were being won or lost on a single kill, a slight miss or a timely bail from a wounded plane.
It was HELL!!!!!!!
Then all went black......
And there was silence for a time where there was no keyboard, no mouse and no internet connection. No one knew the reasons for the silence but me.
Alone, I carried the burden. No office, no space, nowhere to call me own.
But there was mercy on me even in this darkness, and I was blessed by new salaries, new home and new office space at home that I could call my own.
And there was a new arising in me, a new hope. It focused me to go back, to evaluate who I had been and what I had become. A new mindset was there now, slowly rising. It made me realize that this was not a war I could win on my own, nor had it ever been. I needed others. I needed a place that I could call my own not only at home but, in the space that was the internet.
And then the invitation came, it simply read that I was wanted, and that I should consider being part of a larger whole. A group where there was more to life than the violence of the past and the vengeance that it created.
And I accepted.
They had forgiven me for the rage, the brutality, the selfishness and I was taken in under their wing as a brother in arms, a man who had given his all for the fight and had stayed even when there was nothing left, nothing left of himself to give.
And so the next journey began, and new friendships were made. Trust was given and soon I was an admin. I knew the responsibility and maintained the oath of "slow to anger, quick to forgive" when on-line.
I tried to live up to those who had gone before me, carry their memory in my day to day missions and keep the good fight going.
My brothers gave me this torch, and I will do my best to keep it lit, to hold it high and always move it forward, never retreating.
I will forever be for the team, the cause of freedom and the rewards that only those who have been in combat will ever know.
Share the stories of battle and the mighty that have fallen in the pursuit of the perfect kill, the final judgment of an admin and the last man standing.
This is my story, it is all true and I am a member of JiF.

Re: Quick question
To become a JiF member I had to leave my home world and abandon all things dear.
Our planet is baron and our warriors weak. With my JiF training and copious amounts of your fermented beverages I hUTCHIE will return victorious.
Masterful JiF warriors, come join us in our flight to preserve the uncivilized universe.
letrerg haarg,

Re: Quick question
I'm thinking of booking a ticket to planet Winky, It sure seems like a lot of fun up there.
If we get enough people to sign up we can charter a spaceship and all travel together, kinda like a JiF road trip - into InnerSpace
P.S.
the Milky Bars are on me...

Re: Quick question
I'm down with the planet Winky trip. That place seems freakin' scary. Good scary, like a roller coaster.
Would one need to get any special vaccines for such a voyage?

OK,
For you non-Californians who have never been to a Santa Cruz beach or done any surfing, I will translate the above so that you can wow your friends. This intimate knowledge is rarely shared outside of the secret inner circle hip ness of surfers so listen up!
Steamers Lane- A Santa Cruz surf spot that is run like a mafia gangster would run his Canadian liquor trade back in the 20-30's. Surf can be good but it doesn’t have a lot of room for many riders at once on a wave. Locals will literally gang up and beat the crap out of you for "taking" their waves. Honest.
Tasty Waves- Surf that can be ridden with style. Typically waves in the 3-5 foot range.
Valley's- People who drive over the Santa Cruz Mountains from the Silicon Valley and pretend to be locals. The valley is about an hour away from the beach and Santa Cruz locals can tell them by the way they talk ( they talk faster and don't pause a lot between sentences....) and the cars they drive. Valley's cars don't have rust/cancer showing on the body work typically and are newer.
Pleeb- an 80's beach slang word for non-surf scum!
Rhino- Now this is big wave action! A term from Hawaii for riding the giant and vicious waves found at several locations there. A rhino rider is respected by other surfers because of the danger and skill needed in riding those waves. You should always surf those waves with a buddy since you can get knocked out and drown if you don't have a buddy to pull you out. Fer Sure Dude!
So there it is
Totally awesome!
