You take a long stick and pierce several things on it. Chunks of meat, vegetables, etc etc. Place it over a fire until well cooked and ta-dah! Shishb-kabobs =)

Here in Norway the kebabs doesnt look as good as on your picture, Gav. Kebabs came with the immigrants and, mostly, the norwegian kids eat it because they think its cool.

This is a Doner Kebab

Only to be eaten in the hours of darkness when the pub/club has shut & you have drunk at least 10 pints. Most of the salad content ends up falling out in a pile at your feet

Note the chili on top which doesn't burn in the numb state which you now are in, but boy does it come back to bite you the next day when it has worked its way through your system allied with the hot chili sauce you asked for in your drunken state.
