Just figured I would post this. So far I know they are using a special fire truck that has been converted into a hearse. They are shutting down streets, and there will be two ladder trucks with ladders extended flying a giant US flag that he will pass under. He was a great guy and will be sorely missed.

Ronald E. “Goose” Gosselin, 56, of Holden Street, Attleboro, retired Attleboro Fire Fighter, loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed Wednesday, December 14th in Miriam Hospital, Providence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Candice (Pinder) Gosselin.
Born in Cranston, Rhode Island on March 26, 1955, he was a son of Norman Gosselin, Lucy Joubert and the late Leo Joubert. Goose was educated in St. Joseph’s School in Attleboro and Attleboro High School. He served his country proudly as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era and later as a member of the National Guard.
Goose was a proud 30 year veteran of the City of Attleboro Fire Department. He truly loved all aspects of his job. He was a member of the Attleboro Fire Fighters Local 848, the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts, and International Association of Fire Fighters. He enjoyed his family, and especially looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his beloved wife Candice, Goose is survived by four children; Tracy Jean Lard and her husband Michael of Franklin, New Hampshire, Mark Steven Gosselin and his companion Tricia Cleveland of Rehoboth, Melissa Ann Gosselin of Attleboro and Lisa Marie Boss and her husband John of Attleboro, four brothers; David Gosselin and his wife Jolene of North Dakota, Richard Gosselin and his wife Kathleen of North Attleboro, Lucien Gosselin of Pawtucket, and Robert Gosselin of Pennsylvania, nine beloved grandchildren; Corey, Todd, Tyler, Gavin, Jakob, A.J., Allison, Alexander, and Logan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother in law of the late Dianne Gosselin.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro where the Gosselin family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18th from 4 PM – 8 PM. A funeral will be conducted on Monday, December 19th at 9:30 AM from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’sChurch, 208 South Main Street, Attleboro, celebrated by the Rev. John Murray, Pastor. Ronald will be laid to rest in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Attleboro.
