Yeah they had set to use it in Heroes of Might and Magic V but they ripped the Starforce protection out just weeks before it went gold because of the negative feedback. I wouldn't have bought the game with Starforce in it.[JiF]Stepovich wrote:If it's using Starforce, stay away.
It's software protection- I think a lot of the big name

Galactic Civilizations 2 was/is one of the best 4D space strategy simulations out there and they don't use ANY copy protection. Starforce linked to an illegal download of it in what appeared to be a concerted effort to prove to other manufacturers that you have to have copy protection. Very, very shady.
Hmm..I don't remember any of this. I must be getting old. I absolutely loved that game...was one of the funnest racing games I had ever played. It's not like copy protection works anyway, with a little looking around I have found many cracks for the game. No idea if any of them work, but it took like 1 minutes with a Google search.
