Hey,

I do play bass but I'm not in a band right now, but I do have a site of some of my artwork if anyone would like to check it out.

I had my musical debut recently. I play acoustic guitar (started at 51) and belong to a songwriting group. They play at different places. The 'entry level' place is Harmony Hill Winery. Some of the other songwriters encouraged me to perform. My plan was to show up at 5 PM (they play until 9 PM) do my set of four songs and call it a night. My daughter was in town with her three kids so my set was going to be the song I wrote for each of them and a song I wrote for my wife for one Valentine's Day. I showed up and Alex was the only other songwriter there at 5. We took turns playing songs and my grandkids were getting a real kick out of watching me perform 'their' songs. There were only about a dozen people there and half of them were related to me. So it was perfect.

During my 4th song Alex got a phone call. His son was in a terrible car accident about a month ago and is still in a coma. He had to leave to make some medical decisions and told me to keep going. During my 'last' song Rick showed up. I asked him if he was ready and he told me to keep playing. So I did another song I hadn't really planned to do. Rick still wasn't ready so I did one more song. Rick took over and I went and drank wine. Alex came back and two other guys showed up so the four of them completed the evening.

This is my official press release: (Insert real name here) had his songwriting debut at Harmony Hills Winery in front of a double digit audience. He played his set of four songs and then played not one, but two encores. His first ever performance and and he played two encores! A significant part of the audience really 'related' to his songs. They grinned and sang along the whole time he played. We see a bright future for this gifted singer/songwriter.

How's that for spin?

When I visited the U.S last year, I met this really hot babe, she's a proffesional singer/musician, who goes by the name Frightdoll and we became firm friends.

She's released two albums which did really well in the European Electro Charts.

A few weeks ago, a Florida based independent label, MachineK Records, asked us if my band and Frightdoll would team up and write a song for their forthcoming compilation album, Sanity Is Slavery.

We took one of our old songs from Myspace and re-wrote it.
So this is Empusa ft Frightdoll and our demo of Therapy, completed last Friday.
(this is our raw recording to hard-drive - the song is now in studio being mixed down and mastered for the album)

Oh yeah, and don't tell no-one that you've heard a pre-release. I may have to delete this demo.

Having some fun with the Vokator (a software version of the in/famous 70's vocal processors) in our song "Chains".

Using this, I ended up sounding a bit like Stephen Hawkings plugged to a synth :hah:

(A fan of our band shot this strange little video for "Chains"
I suppose an ominous stalking is as good a time as any to demonstrate those 70's dance moves.)
