If we make prisons a living hell for them, then we might just be sending out devils once they are released. Cruel methods to achieve discipline are a thing of the past! So, keep on dancing! Byron F. Garcia.

Re: A Small Concern of Mine
How many people with the name of harrick may there be throughout the world?
And why should one of those underworldly, responsible for all evil in gods world, demons of the present ("hackers") be interested in "hacking" a harrick?
Paranoia is good when put to the decision to leave your real name or any real information in any ad-financed homepage or other spamthrowers or fraud sites. But in game? Who would have guessed anyone gets in a online game with his real name?
(OK on lastchaos(MMORPG) there are some players running around with real names or what someone might take for it -"gerrit langer" would be an example for that- but on the other hand there also are thousands of names like "nudeltopf", "schnitzel", "thomas94", "ilura" or "phantomlady".)
Apart from WOW or other money related and thus financially interesting accounts, battlefield names are somehow uninteresting for "hackers".
So in my humble opinion theres first your protection of financial uninterestingness then the protection of many harricks living on this earth.
And that in addition to the hard work, any "hacker" might have searching for real looking names throughout millions of user accounts.
I cannot give you or your parents real "security" but the probability that any "hacker" (and i really do not know why anyone should wade through millions of gamers names and then choose especially yours as target) really does what official hysteria tells is so unbelieveable low, it is not even worth mentioning.
You might google for a nice sarcastic story collection from simon travaglia, titled "bastard operator from hell" which nicely though somehow quite brutally and tough plays around with all those rumours and fairytales concerning "hackers" and their endless, world dominating possibilities.
Or in my personal opinion: if you do not want to be sniffed out, do not use any microsoft products and stay clear off all telecommunications.
(And don´t even THINK of "registering" anywhere!!! )

Or if you hadn't brought it up, no one would have known...
You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
