Well that game was easy Still a long way to go. I don't think the tribe is gonna roll over and die now
Games are sooo long. I did not get any TF2 time in and still have to finish Portal.
Lucky for us Sabathia was off his game last night.

Re: Down go the Yankees...
It's not like that was a surprise. Wedge mismanaged the game after it was obvious CC didn't have it (what's the point of having a long reliever on your staff if you don't use him when your #1 is done after 3 innings?) but it does mean Fausto almost has to win tonight. I'm still pretty confident that the BoSox get at least 1 on the road in Cleveland so that makes tonight a big battle. I make no promises with Indians pitching but this should be a much better game.FWIW I think Beckett will win game one (probably feels slighted that CC is considered the Cy Front Runner),
BTW - If you ever see CC pitching over 94 in the first inning you should be happy. It means he's overthrowing and ya'll saw the results.

Re: Down go the Yankees...
I dozed in and out between the 6th and 9th innings. Then I just plan fell asleep. Don't they know old people watch these games
Woke up this morning and my wife said they got clobbered. Saw a blurb on the news and thought just as well I slept
Games have certainly not gone the way everyone thought have they? Still what I did see was fun to watch. I bet leaving the stadium all bummed out at 2 AM was a lot of fun.

They threw Gagne in on the top of the 11th, it went all down hill after that.

No joy tonight either. Not my fault I did not get home from class until the 8th inning Damage was already done by then.

Uphill. It went uphill after that.[JiF]Rhykin wrote:They threw Gagne in on the top of the 11th, it went all down hill after that.
Re: Down go the Yankees...
After last nights game I have had a depression evaluation and an apointment with a psychologist due to many suicidal attempts during the 9th inning last night...

I'm not gunna play on your TF2 team anymore![JiF]Sly Gambit wrote:Uphill. It went uphill after that.[JiF]Rhykin wrote:They threw Gagne in on the top of the 11th, it went all down hill after that.

Re: Down go the Yankees...
As much as I try to be mad and upset I can't do it. I actually don't mind if the Indians win. Yes, it would be better if the Red Sox won, but I just can't seem to get pissed about the Indians winning. I will try harder to hate them tonight and see what happens
Re: Down go the Yankees...
I have already grown a hatred for Kenny Lofton, Grady Sizemore, Jensen Lewis (because of his pitch release motion) and most of all Jhonny Peralta...[JiF][AARP]Grimp wrote:As much as I try to be mad and upset I can't do it. And to further rant about it, it got extremely annoying to hear the Cleveland crowd boo everytime a batter stepped out of the box, especially when Youk had to wipe the sweat from his face. And not to mention those towels they all swing around, I'm glad the Red Sox don't have any consumer obsessed act of support!
But don't take any of this personal Sly, I'm just a frustrated Red Sox fan!

My Orioles may only win a few games, but I pray that they're the ones against the yankees.

Well it was pretty cold last night (50's) so every minute he wasted towling himself off was a minute they were forced to stay cold and awake. You can understand their desire to see the game continue. Plus the sweating was ridiculous. He looked like he had a hose on the inside of his helmet.[JiF]rIot wrote:And to further rant about it, it got extremely annoying to hear the Cleveland crowd boo everytime a batter stepped out of the box, especially when Youk had to wipe the sweat from his face. The towels are lame. Clevelanders should never use them. The 'terrible towels' thing originated in Pittspuke and it bugs the crap out of me anytime I see organizations passing them out at the gates.
BTW - All it takes is the BoSox winning this one and ya'll are back in control of the series. I wouldn't get too worked up until after tonight regardless of which team you support.

Re: Down go the Yankees...
But I want to get worked up Say something inflammatory. You know something like with fans like rIot no wonder the Red Sox are such losers
If they get pounded tonight maybe I will start to get cranky. Then again I kinda want to play TF2 tonight. That can make me cranky when I am being pwned
