That's awesome!

Is that a real (prototype) model or something someone modified?

Same here.
You must be young and stupid before you can be old and wise.

http://www.watercar.com/

My parents have a friend who I talked with today for a bit. He was driving one of his two amphi cars and we were talking about it. He's actually been in contact with the guy who makes this and will be buying one of the first when they go into production. I've ridden in the one he was driving today....very strange going headlong down a boat ramp into the water. :) He never lets anyone drive these cars, they are very old.

I was thinking the same thing this morning while reading the news. That would be kind of weird (or unusual I would say) to see someone drive around in a watercar in a flooded town. (Let alone a watercar IS unusual :D )

When I went for the ride a few years ago we were in a river. He was a little concerned whether it would be able to keep up with the current as that car has prop drive and doesn't go very fast in the water. It was fine so we went up and the the river a bit, we ran across a few guys fishing and came up near em and he asked where we might get on the interstate. You see this car, when in the water actually looks like an old convertible in the water. The guys were rather humorless about it and said just up the road.
