TFC

Post by [JiF]Mike »

I played a little TFC last night as I waited for Bioshock to finish downloading. That game is still so fun! Do we have a server? I don't think we do..so would anyone play on one if I got one up and running? I'm thinking of just a small 16 player server.

I just got Bioshock too! What do you have for system specs and how well does it play? I'm a little worried to install it...as for TFC, didn't JiF used to have a server? They don't now...

I would probably play some TFC if we had a server. We played it a little at the Nor'Easter and I had a blast.

I have 5 or 6 PCs here and thought about setting one up for TFC but not sure how well it would play on my net connection since its only a 6MB down and 728KB up. I know several years ago I use to play on a 16 player that was running on a cable connection of 1.5MB down and 512KB up and it wasn't to bad.

I've run a few servers over the years, starting with TFC for those that remember lol. I probably wouldn't run it at home as I tend to download stuff via torrent quite often. I do have a couple places in mind though, so I'll try to put something together over the next few days. I really have no idea what mods and other neat stuff are out there though so if anyone has any suggestions, post em here.

As for Bioshock, I bought it via Steam and it didn't finish downloading until about 12:30am at which point I was too tired to play. So I installed the new ATI driver that supposedly helps with Bioshock and went to bed. I'll give it a try tonight and let ya know how it performs. :)

I'll look over the TFC stuff I still have and see whats new and let you know. I'm sure I still have a lot of the mods and stuff that I use to run.
