Dear JiF,
This has never come up before or if it has I was too young and wild to understand the possible risks I was taking.
I often make a Tupperware cup of Nestles Quick at home to take with my lunch. The real Quick not the syrup stuff.
Today when I poured the milk there was only enough for half a cup in one milk jug. I took out a new jug and then realized I would be mixing milk from two different containers. This seemed dangerous. To avoid the possible effects I made half a cup of Quick and drank it right away. I rinsed the cup and made a new one with milk from one container only. Should this happen again I was wondering if any one has experience in milk mixing. Is it safe and proper. The milk was both Hood and 1%. I am not ready to even contemplate mixing different brands and fat %. What should I do if this comes up again? Please HELP!

Well, if mixing milk is dangerous...I would be dead. I've mixed anywhere from skim and whole, to whole milk and lactaid. I think I've even mixed soy and regular milk in a desperate attempt to make a full cup! You name it, I've mixed it, there's no time to think when your 5 minutes behind and your pouring your bowl of cereal.

Wow that is pretty reckless behavior. Have you investigated the long term effects of this! I doubt it! Young people just don't think long term.
BTW: I checked the Man Laws and amazingly there is nothing listed about this issue.

It's good that you didn't mix the milk. I've heard of unconfirmed reports of people losing their entire geocache records due to this. In fact, that may have been what happened to Tissue's geocache.
You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
