Parallel Motion Protractor

Post by [JiF][AARP]Grimp »

I have an old parallel Motion Protractor that I picked up and never used (its already used though). Its a pretty large one and is missing the actually scales (rulers). I am pretty sure you can pick up the scales at a drawing store.

It sorta looks like this, but more of a swing arm unit:

Anyone wants it let me know. I would rather not ship it so if your in the Massachusetts area and want it let me know.
EDIT: More info: its a VEMCO 520 not a swing arm model. Its actually like the picture. Without the drawing board :)
Its FREE. I just feel bad throwing it out :(

Donate to a tech school or art department? Most drafting is CAD now, sad the old ways are becoming memory. :? I had two interns who could not draw by hand. I gave them some old drawings to update and they were so lost it took them hours to do a 15 minute task.

Yeah, all the drafting here is CAD. It kind of takes the creativity and skill out of drafting. I would definatly see if any schools want it, I know some of them still teach drawing on the board as a foundation to the CAD work as well.
