I got a gold Titan Destruction badge tonight for destroying three titan consoles and the core in a single round, and that put me over the top. Believe it or not, I did it as an engineer using the Pilum to blow stuff up. The other team was barely defending the Titan, and I had a whole squad with me including supply guys and medics. I got lucky cause we were all pounding on the core at the end but I had the shot that killed it.

There are no more promotions from here. So I have to find other ways to motivate myself now.

Yeah, I know its hard, but being as good as Iam, I sometimes forget I have team mates I held the highest rank in JiF for a long time. Now I need to figure out a way to get my status back

I wish I could figure it out. I lag like crazy on most servers. It was since the last patch. Once summer is over or if we get a rainy weekend I will go home and try to figure it out again. I have read that a reinstall might help.

Oh wow. I assumed it was because you were too busy. We should definitely try to figure this out for you so you can get back online.

Edit:

Try playing single player and see if that's laggy too. If so then it's probably your machine and not your internet connection. I would definitely try reinstalling in that case. In either case, try turning all your video settings down to the lowest and see how it plays. If it's better, then you can slowly move settings back up one at a time to see how they affect you.

Also try reading through this: 2142 Tweak Guide . I read it a while back and I remember getting some good stuff from it. I've had good results with tweaks for other games from this site too.

But like mentioned in the other thread, I need to play this more often. More importantly, I need to get my microphone working so I can talk to guys in-game. Teamspeak works but in BF2 or BF2142, my mic doesn't work.
