Doc and I were watching a History Channel thing about Sharpshooters. I remembered that I had an example of my skill from a long time ago in my old Band-Aid can that has a collection of junk in it.
My guess is it was in the early 70's. I can't remember all the details, but I was out with some others target shooting. Coin is dated 1967.
I was using my Marlin 22 semi-auto squirrel gun. It even had a squirrel engraved on the stock.
We decided to see what we could hit. We tried all sorts of coins from different distances. Most of the coins were lost but I did find one I hit. If I remember correctly is was from around 200 to 300 feet and we could barely see what we were shooting at. I actually think I did this one without a scope, but I could be wrong. I do know it was my kill though

Wasn't a quarter back then worth like $10,000 today? You must have been rich to using quarters for target practice. Poor people probably just used pennies.
