So many great ideas and I see the hope of proving I'm not really a dork to my wife. Then again, she has 35 years of evidence that I must overcome. What the heck! I'm game! :D  :D

So she's been married to you for 35 years but she's thought you're a dork that whole time? You should point that out to her.

:!: :!: Wait! On second thought, do not point that out to her. Whatever you do, do not point that out to her. :!: :!:

What should I do with all these? Been collecting them for the last six months...the box is 8 inches deep.

Thos, you find a thin box top and then carefully stack the bottle caps in interesting patterns. I was going to do this before I just decided to collect different colors. I still might do that. A shoe box top might work. It would be even cooler to find a clear plastic top, but I may have to settle for cardboard. I originally started saving the bottle caps to throw at a colleague when I wanted to get his attention. I never hit him, but the noise does get his attention. He's about 3 cubes away from me.

Today is take your child to work day here. A colleague brought his two boys by my cube. They were very impressed with my bottle cap collection and discussed which colors were common and rare and which ones they had never seen before. It brought a tear to my eye and gave me hope and faith in the next generation. Well the generation after the next generation or the one after that. The colleague isn't in my generation either. :)

I also showed them my blue outside mirror from a 2002 Camry explaining that they could have one too if they drove too close to something, but they didn't seem as impressed with this. Go figure.

They were only prepped about the caps Tissue...

Dad: "OK we are going by my friends cube. He has this bottle cap collection. Try to act real interested in the caps. We try really hard to make him feel good about it. Do this and I will treat you to ice cream. I will explain when you get older."

Kids: "OK dad."
