EUReKA

Post by [JiF]DispDave »

Anyone check out EUReKA on Sci-Fi? I caught a few episodes on iTunes and noticed that Season 2 starts on July 10th (9pm).

Pretty entertaining.

It's a good show...

Anyone see the series finale of Stargate SG1?

Talk about being disappointing... :(

Yeah, the SG1 finale was pretty ho-hum. You'd think it would have been a 2 hour series finale, and who knows what's going on. And the Azgard, all that stuff they got and the Ori could track them just like that...

And what about Atlantis, wasn't a bad season, but anyone else get sick of the Rodney centered episodes?

This isn't anything new really, but for those that may not know:
MGM has given a green light for the show's creators to produce two direct-to-DVD movies based on SG-1. Executive producer Brad Wright let TV Guide in on the news this week. "It's the climax of the Ori story line," Wright said of the first film. The movie will tie up the loose ends from the show's tenth season, which is expected to conclude its U.S. television run in June. The film will be written and directed by current SG-1 executive producer and show-runner Robert C. Cooper.

The studio is targetting a fall 2007 release for both projects -- just a few months after Stargate SG-1 ends its historic, 10-year run on cable television. [UPDATE: June 23, 2007 - MGM is now targetting a release date in the first half of 2008.] It's entirely possible that the movies will also be aired on television -- something SCI FI commonly does with direct-to-DVD movies.

"They're not big-budget [films] by any definition, but for us it's pretty good," Wright said. "As we've proven over the years, just give us little more money and we can make pretty good television, or DVDs."

EUReKA is cool btw. I also watched last season as soon as the episodes came out. :)

I like Eureka, but most of the episodes seem to start out cool then loose steam towards the end. I'm looking forward to the next season because I've seen like every episode twice. I did like one with the death ray, I should be specific but I think they had only two with death rays

I have seen every episode and now I'm waiting for the new season to start. It seems like they are waiting longer and longer before they start new seasons anymore.
