Okay I need you guys to give me your counts

Post by [JiF][AARP]Grimp »

I decided to help out. All you members in Massachusetts need to let me know how many spouses and children you have so I can fill out my form. I don't care about you turkeys in other states unless your bring your brood across to border.
HELP MASSWILDLIFE COUNT TURKEY FAMILIES

Sportsmen and -women, birders, landowners and other wildlife enthusiasts are encouraged to assist MassWildlife by counting turkey families this summer. MassWildlife conducts an annual wild turkey brood survey from June through August. "The brood survey serves as a long term index on reproduction," explains Jim Cardoza, MassWildlife's Turkey Project Leader. "It helps us determine overall productivity and allows us to compare rates of reproduction over a long period of time." Cardoza also points out that citizen involvement in this survey is a cost-effective means of gathering useful data, and he encourages all interested people to participate. A turkey brood survey form has been posted in the "Wildlife" area of MassWildlife's website. Information needed includes date, town, number of hens seen, and number of poults (young turkeys) and their relative size compared to the hens. Multiple sightings of the same brood should also be noted. The survey period runs from June 1 - August 31. Completed forms should to be mailed to the MassWildlife Westborough Field Headquarters.

That would be one Tom, one Hen, three Poults.
The grandkids are a separate brood and must be counted as such :D

Or 10 legs, 4 dinners, 16 sandwiches and 3 gallons of soup or broth (assuming Smuckers was a turkey, but he's not -- that would be me for posting this comment). I wonder how many hours you have to cook a 185 pound turkey?

There seem to be a huge amount of turkeys around my area and my bro.inlaws place in Rowley- I wouldn't know where to begin counting since they're always in huge groups...
They did some nice damage to my brotherinlaws car- apparently pecking at their reflections on the side of the car
