Yeah it does, BIG TIME.[JiF]Stepovich wrote:well that sucks[JiF]KellysHero wrote:My seat will be available if anyone wants it, let me know what it takes to transfer it.
I just figured that everyone that gets a shirt could just pay me when we get there. No Pay - No Shirt! That should work I would think.[JiF]Stepovich wrote:How are you going to do the payments?

We are probably gonna get absolutely slaughtered in the BF2 tourney. Reading the forums at LPane it looks like there are a lot of pretty serious players in it. I have not played BF2 in a long time and I think its going to be really ugly for us. I can live with that to me its all fun, but don't mind if you all want to bail on it either. If someone else wants to take my place in it thats okay too.
pissboy[LPANE] wrote:The tournament page did say that teams would need to be finalized on May 12th in order to qualify. Since the team finalization is not enabled today, the 11th, I'm going to push back the finalization date. The new finalization date will be the same date that seats are locked. This should give all teams till Wednesday or Thursday to fill their rosters and finalize. When I find out what date we are locking seat selection down, I will post it.

Well I was at the Nor'Easter forums again to check on things and actually the after tourney game looks like it will be much more fun than the tourney. I think I would like to be in that one:
I nominate Smuckers and Kelly as possible squad leaders
Of course I would rather be doing it on 2142 trying to collect some tags but playing a large BF2 game with clan squads sounds pretty fun.AFTER the 5vs5 We will split clans into (hopefully) fair teams of up to 32 each and see what you can do as a group for team work

It does sound fun. I got signed up for the BF2 tourney but I haven't played BF2 in I don't know how loooooooooooooooooooooooong. I really don't care if I get slaughtered a million times I'm going for the fun and thats all that counts for me. Since this will be my first LAN ever I figured I better get my new parts in a case so I had them shipped back to me this week and they should be here by Tuesday. I doubt that $2,000 in new hardware will help me play any better but at least I will get to die in style.[JiF][AARP]Grimp wrote:Well I was at the Nor'Easter forums again to check on things and actually the after tourney game looks like it will be much more fun than the tourney. Nor'Easter 2007 - Event Reminders and Updates
Prepay Deadline!
There's less than a week left till Nor'Easter 2007, and under 12 hours left till we cut off prepays. We currently have almost 500 registered players and over 360 gamers have taken advantage of our prepay prices that will run for the next few hours. Prepaying saves you $10, allows you to pick your seat, but the deadline is tonight at midnight! We are well on our way to a full house of 500 gamers. As a reminder, we have secured an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor for a prepay raffle prize, and the only way to be entered into the drawing is to prepay! Be part of LPANE history and sign up today!
Tickets, Waivers, and Seating!
The ticket section of the My Event page is enabled. You will need to print this ticket to get in the door at the Nor'Easter. Note that if you change your name, or any other information, for any reason, the ticket will need to be reprinted. Everyone will also be required to sign a release of liability for the event. Attendees 18 and over can sign one themselves, those of you under 18 will need a parent's signature. If your parent is going to the event with you, they can sign it there, if not, it will need to be signed prior to the event and notarized. Finally, if you do not pick your seat before the event, you will be assigned one at the door. We have recently opened up four more rows, and there are plenty of open spaces to choose from.
Event T-shirts!
Congratulations to Placebo for winning our T-shirt contest, and thanks to all who submitted designs. We have decided to make a small change in the t-shirt sales. Shirts will be on sale at the event only, and not online, in order to keep our prices at the lowest they can be. There will be a very limited amount of the shirts on hand, so sales will be first come, first serve.
More Sponsors!
Our Sponsor page has had a few updates since the last news posting. Tagan has delivered four of their higher capacity power supplies for our raffle. X-ray Technology has shipped out some of their high end mousepads. Foxconn has pledged support with prizes for our UT Tournament, to be announced, as well as some other prizes and swag. Finally NVIDIA has also pledged support with some swag to give away.
Red Bull Sales
Just a reminder that the Red Bull pre-sales are still going on, and we will be taking orders till next Wednesday. We are selling Red Bull by the 4 pack and case to help offset some of our event costs and donate more to the Shriners. Our prices are cheaper than wholesale stores! $30 gets you a case, $5 gets you a 4-pack.
ConnectiCon console requests
ConnectiCon will be attending this event and hosting an exhibitor booth. As with last year, they'll be hosting a few console tournaments and games that you can participate in. What they'll be hosting is where you come in. Keep in mind that they have Xbox 360s, Playstation 3s, Wiis, and other consoles. Requesting something isn't going to guarantee it will be at the event, but it could mean the difference between them leaving something at home or not. Know what you want? Request it here!
There's not much time left, secure your seat!
See you all there!
