Because of a technical limitation on the size of the film reel, these early DMR releases were edited to conform to a two-hour length limitation. Later releases did not have this limitation. Current IMAX platters allow a run length of up to 150 minutes.
Good to know! I was avoiding IMAX because of the earlier limitations.
Just because this is technically possible doesn't mean that Timmay! really did see it. And I'm not just saying this because I'm jealous (I'm petty and jealous).

In my opinion (and Grimps son agrees) terrible acting, dragged out way too long, Peter Parker was emo through most of it, and there wasn't any epic standoffs like I expected. Im a huge fan of the first two, but this one is just sub-par from what they could have done...luckily the film melted half way through and we had to wait 5 mins for it to start back up so we got a free movie ticket out of it :)

There's proof that going into a movie expecting some grand epic tale will typically cause you to feel unfulfilled and think the movie sucked, no matter how good it is or isn't. I went into the movie with little to no expectations, and I liked it. Every time I go to a movie thinking it's going to be great I am disappointed. I just don't do it anymore, and it's also why I don't want anyone else's opinion until after I've seen it. :)

I think it was Peter Parker trying to dance like a disco king in the streets of NY that did it for me...

Caught the new Harry Potter last night. At IMAX. For free. Before it opened.

We had a department outing to go see Transformers last Friday. I was in a minority of one among my geeky computer programmer coworkers. I didn't like it. The special effects were cool but I thought it was really cheesy overall. I actually fell asleep during the huge action sequence at the end. Then again, I wasn't a Transformers fan as a kid.

I was also a minority of one in thinking that Megan Fox wasn't that hot. To me, there's just something wrong with her face like it's all out of proportion or something. I learned a new word from a friend today which describes what I think of Megan Fox - she's a "butterface". Look it up on urbandictionary.

Then again, you do like Starbuck... :?

I did like Transformers, have always been a fan. The action sequences were a bit much at times, maybe a little too busy with all the special effects. Also would have liked to have seen more Starscream and Megatron interactions, and generally more Decepticon interactions. Lots of good one liners, and the Bernie Mac scenes with Bumblebee were hilarious!

I did actually like the first half of the movie better than the second half, because of the funny parts. I agree that Bernie Mac was funny. And the main character boy had some funny stuff too.
