Second Jobs

Post by [JiF]Ziggy »

I was looking for a good way to make some extra money. I think I found the ideal home business. It's worked out really well for me, and I've 'made big profits in my spare time' just as promised. Here's what I've been working on in case some else want to pursue this great opportunity:

There's all kinds of things you can do. Frog ashtrays, turtle bookends, etc. Even really nice home furnishings like this:

And it's not just lamps and ash-trays. You can also make some very attractive room accessories:

The possibilities and the PROFITS are unlimited! I may even switch careers!

Well "back in the day" Whats up with everyone saying that now?

Back in the day my brothers and I had a "Have-a-Heart" trap. We put it on the deck to catch squirrels getting into my fathers sun flower seeds. He kept his seeds in a metal trash can with a lid that could be locked into place with the handle. The squirrels kept getting in anyway. I won't go into what the plan originally was to do with the squirrels when we caught them. My stand on squirrels has softened a lot since then.
Any way we decieded they needed to be marked for identification. More or less to see if they are really that stupid. I made some squirrel spray by mixing food coloring (several different colors) and water in a spray bottle. When we caught one we would spray it. Spray and release program. Note: trapped squirrels do not like being sprayed keep back.
It did not show up well on the grey part, but the white fir looked pretty funky. We had orange, blue, green and red colored squirrels running around the yard and yes you could trap the same ones over and over and over again
Visitors to our house would say "Is that squirrel orange?" It was pretty fun.

They are just hungry for some food so they go to someone's garden and eat some food. :)

During my senior year of college I lived on the third floor of a house built in 1861. The guy across the hall had squirrels living in his wall for a while. He'd get fleas in his bed until he managed to drive them away. I had a squirrel come in the window of my room. It stopped on my desk and looked at me. It peed on my textbook and ran out the window. Although I agreed with the sentiment about that particular course, it was MY room and MY book. Rats, squirrels and pigeons are all the same to me. And don't get me started on chipmunks....

I'd forgotten about Rocky the Flying Squirrel. I take it all back. 8)

We used to live trap the chipmunks and release them in the next town over where are the multi-millionaires live.
