Post by [JiF]Thos »

Just saw this on live leak.. a new table saw that will stop if a body part comes into contact with the blade.

At least now I know my wiener will be safe around this saw!

Did see the saw a few episodes ago on "Ask This Old House", pretty cool technology.
You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Wow - I have 2 very good friends that this would have stopped debilitating injuries. That is an amazing improvement.

That is pretty cool!

-edit-

Being curious I found the price of that saw. $2800 bucks without any options! Though..if it saves your finger that is a small price to pay. I just didn't expect it to cost nearly that much. Obviously it's targeted at the wood working industry and not the typical home owner. :(

Have the cost partly subsidized by your Health Care Insurance!
