Upcoming PC Releases.... Any Interests?

Post by [JiF]Sly Gambit »

PC put out a 'games of spring' with some of the bigger releases scheduled between now and June:

http://pc.ign.com/articles/775/775596p1.html

Couple interesting Multiplayer games I'm looking at. Call of Jaurez is a western FPS and ArmA has some potential as a BF clone (vehicles/shooters). I might be pursuaded to buy one or both depending on the reviews.

Quake Wars (allegedly) is due in June. Probably tops the list of potential BF busters for me.

Anyone else gunning for any upcoming games? Anything worth trying out there?

The Black Box/Orange Box releases of EP2 are due out in the Fall (Nov? Keeping in mind they were due out LAST Fall ;)) but allegedly TFC 2 or whatever you want to call it might make it out this Summer.

Definitely will get that.

I'm sure there will be a big press release in August that someone hacked into Gabe's computer and stole part of the code... oh wait they already did that didn't they? Don't know what the excuse will be this time... probably it will come out on time but you need direct x 10 and a machine running Vista  that would figure

As I mentioned in http://jiff.net/viewtopic.php?t=583 , the game looks pretty decent to me. I haven't read up on it anymore though since I made the post so I can't really say much. I don't even know if it released already or not actually :/

It may not be an upcomming game, but I have noticed that it looked pretty good. I was over Doc's yesterday and he was playing the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R., it actually looked pretty good! I will definately buy it sometime when I dont have bills due!

My roommate has been playing that pretty extensively lately, I think he's half way through right now. It looks like a nice mix of Deus Ex and FEAR maybe? Hard to classify.

Here's a Hand's on of Quake Wars:

Definitely getting that. I just hope they do a good job with the balancing. Sounds like they're spending a lot of time working on the ports to consoles and maybe not enough time matching it up. Will probably pre-order it once I know if they'll have tags or if they need to be in the reserved name.

Here's another hands-on review. More detail on the objective based teamplay.

If my machine will run it...GRAW2
And I'll be trying out Test Drive Unlimited,

Otherwise I'm completely devoted to Crysis for the fall games.

I'm getting the Track Mania United game. I loved the previous versions of that game.

Realistic damage or is it just straight racing?

Arcade racer...huge jumps...crazy tracks. Just plain fun. Plus u can make your own tracks and play multiplayer. Just wish it wasn't $50...so it might not happen till it drops in price. :(

Mike - wasn't that the game that installed the spyware?
