Single Play

When I play the single player version, I only have the weapons available to me online. I also see my points. Is there a way to get unlocks etc while playing vs the bots?

No. The bots have all the unlocks, and you have whatever unlocks you've earned on ranked servers. But you don't get any credit for single play, even though the screen at the end of the round makes it look like you do. You also can't get field upgrades in single play.

Ya, the little info box at the bottom of the screen after you log in says you can't use the NS maps on single player

I wonder if you can run them as a local coop server and play em that way.

Probably not. They didn't build any AI for the new NS maps, and they'd need AI for coop just like for single play.

You can run a local multiplayer server, just for the purpose of exploring the new maps and trying out the new vehicles. I did that for a few minutes after I first installed NS.

There is an updated mod that lets you play the NS maps in SP and it wont affect your online play at all. I also think you get all of the unlocks including the NS ones.

In single player. The bots will progress 1 tier unlocks up from what you have for your recorded unlocks. Which will end up having all unlocks if you are 1 tier from all unlocks in the game.

Here is 2 mods that will let you play SP with both the NS maps and unlocks.
SP Mod
Unlocks Mod

If I remember correctly in order to play the SP maps with all the unlocks then you just copy the Level from the SP mod to FFOLKES Unlocks Mod and then start up the unlocks mod and play. There is no customization screen as all unlocks are available you just select what you want and play. The unlocks mod will be done in 3 steps as you will see on the page for it.
