DVI Switch

I picked up the following DVI Switch from NewEgg.com

I think it's DOA as it would not display my second system and it had trouble switching back and forth between my two systems. Sometimes it would switch, other times it wouldn't (granted the second system would never display). Crummy part is newegg is charging me 9 bucks for restocking and they wanted $7.61 for UPS shipping as well!

I'm guessing you swapped systems to make sure that "port 2" was not working regardless of what's connected to it?

That would be a very good guess! I even switched cables.

Are DVI cables hot swappable? I could just get a male to male connector and just plug and unplug as needed.
