Now that I agree with, BF2 gameplay was a lot better- just the
interface.
Curious why they haven't fixed it- the buddy list and all that.

I think if they actually incorperated a buddy list and made an attempt to improve it, I would switch back...

I would consider it too. But they have no incentive to do that, since it won't get them any new sales.

I can see EAGames milking that now, just like the movies - BF3: The Beginning....

Setting: You are a caveman armed with a wide variety of weapons like sticks, stones, flint, etc and you have
have to compete vs other warring clans of cavepeople.
Vehicles: You can choose from riding a pontoon raft all the way to the back of a triceratop.....
Character classes: you can choose from Ug, Mug, Dug, Blog, and Dung - each have their own special abilities (like grunting & hunting skills).
Maps: The Lavaflow of Blah, The Pteradactyl Nesting grounds, etc etc.

Ok, that's enuff sarcasm for now... ;)

 Hey I unlocked the granite tipped spear today! Wow it really works well on those sabertooth tigers! I also got my "Quest for fire" pin (lit 4 fires in a round). I'm only 3 cave drawings away from Chief DUNG!

In all seriousness, I was actually thinking the other day about what could be the next installment in the BF series. And one direction they might go would be medieval warfare. They could make a FPS set in an Age of Empires type world. Battlefield 1442. For classes, you could have infantry (swords or maces), pikemen, archers/crossbowmen, and musketmen (primitive firearms). You could have horses for vehicles, and siege weapons like trebuchets and primitive cannons. They'd have to come up with a cool way to do melee combat, which would be something completely new for BF. But it is doable. There's a game out there called Mount & Blade which I've played a lot. It's single player only, but it has a really good combat engine, both for melee and archery. So something like that, but in a multiplayer online environment.

I think they should make a civil war BF like they did with CS 1.6, I had a lotta fun playing it, w/ the musket ball trajectory and stuff liek that

I was thinking about that. But the problem with Civil War from a gaming perspective is that everyone was a riflemen. There was no other unit type or weapon type. So it might get boring. Sure there's cavalry and cannons, but the base soldier is always the same.

Might be a better warcraft/starcraft type of game

So if I make Chief, does that make me the biggest piece of crap in the tribe?? ;)
