This is the follow up to Far Cry, which I never played but heard good things about. The graphics look incredible - I would say photo-realistic. Supposedly it's coming out in April.

My roommates are pumped about this game. I'd have to play it to really get the feel of it and see if I like it.

I was a big fan of Far Cry and I have been waiting for Crysis for close to 2 years now.
Ya it will have the EAGames tag on it but the developers (Crytek) obviously made a deal with
the EA devil to procrastinate this game and have total control over its release.
Usually EA has to have a game sent out in less than 6 months anymore....

But either way this game will be the ONLY reason I build a new computer.
It's called my Crysis project and hope to have it done by release , which btw is never concrete these days.(or the end of the year-whatever comes first, lol)
One minute it's April, June, tomorrow....the next it's September (which is what I heard).
But that's because of the developers and not EA and that's a good thing. If it were up to EA,
they'd release a crap-tastic wad of junk.
Keep in mind this game will be a DirectX 10 exclusive!

But definately put this on your list of "must-haves" or "must-try" this year.

btw... release date is SEPT 7th (9/7/07) according to EBGames, and that's a pre-release date.

So don't get your panties all bunched up.... ;)

I wasn't really much of a Far Cry fan either, but I did like how when you shot the guys, the shot wound actually showed up on the body. It was great when I mauled this guy w/ a pistol and went up to his dead body and saw that I pumped a pound of ammunition in his stomach. This game just looks crazy!

This trailer demonstrates many of the new special effects and features of the new Cry Engine 2. It was presented at GDC2007. Wait till you see the sick physics system at the end.
