With my dad being a cop I usually hear about things before other people as someone else here can attest to, correct Beej? Here is a video thats on You tube and there are some others on there also about a new way burglars are breaking into homes and stuff. Need to watch this and then change your locks or take some other precautions to prevent this from happening to you. My dad told me they have had a few burglaries here in town that was done this way its called Lock Bumping.

It's a surprise that the police in your area were able to detect that the locks were bumped. I guess it wasn't an expert who did it. Judging from what I've read so far in the subject, it's virtually undetectable if you do it correctly. That's the scariest thing about it. That, and the fact that it's very easy to do. You just need about 10 minutes to make a bump key and another 5-10 minutes to successfully bump a lock.

As homeowners, it's our responsibility to keep up with these criminals and read more about lock bumping. There are a lot of free info at that site.
