Norton SystemWorks

Post by [JiF][AARP]Tissueman »

I've been using Norton SystemWorks for several years. I'm thinking about seeing what McAfee has to offer comparable. Anybody have experience with McAfee or comments?

My new laptop came with McAfee and it lasted for about 2 weeks then it got removed and Norton Systemworks installed.

The reason I removed McAfee was because for our embroidery and vinyl business we run some special software for the embroidery machine that lets us convert the images from Corel Draw to a stitching image and it would always reconize the software as a virus. I had contacted McAfee about this and after waiting for a week to hear something I called them and the only solution they could provide me with was to uninstall the software and not use it, its kinda hard to do that because we have to use it for the embroidery machine so it can see the image.

We basically had the same problem with our vinyl printer/cutter as in McAfee seen that software as a trojan. I figured that after I got that so complicated and stupid answer I didn't need McAfee. I haven't had any problems with NSW 2006.
