Some kind of melodic pop black metal(!) from my hometown.
They have been touring europe and north america and finaly came to Gothenburg the other night.
Soo good musicians and live performance! I agree with this american guy about the experience.

My older brother turned me on to this group (Lake Street Dive). Guess they've played on Colbert and are getting known. The lead singer is described as looking like Scarlett Johansson and singing like Amy Winehouse. This is a really well-done Youtube video of a song so good I can't get it out of my head.

Finally got around to seeing the movie Silver Linings Playbook, and I was blown away by this song from it. I had no idea Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash had sung together. This song - Girl from the North Country - defines the phrase: a cold, hard beauty.
