Servers and energy use - interesting article

This was in today's NY Times, and raised some issues I must admit I had never thought about. How much energy is wasted running and cooling all those servers, 24/7? This was great line in it: “Data center operators live in fear of losing their jobs on a daily basis,” Mr. Tresh said, “and that’s because the business won’t back them up if there’s a failure.”
