Now that is just a cool use of some old junk. Looks real good. My herbs grow in conventional plastic garden tubs on the patio.
I'm going out looking for alternatives now!
You've just cost me money

When you get near it, do you find yourself wanting to say, "Arrrrrrrgghh"?

Re: herbs in a box
thanks Tissue, i love also the smell of fresh herbs... and Gav: i´m sure it´s worth the effort,- had a look at one of those plastic built too, but i really prefer it to have it this way, you might be lucky finding a box like this on a flee market... lol Stinky, yes i find myself more & more in this position:)) and Shell: you´re absolutely right, it´s an attitude... what i adore most about those ancient things is: the material used at these days,- this was just quality,- this box e.g. was built around 1900 and it still works... and on the other hand i do also like the way they were built,- no mass-production but solid handcraft, still made by "real" hands:))
if i have a closer look, i own lot´s of these old things, old guitars (my baby is a 1974 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe), old amplifiers with weird wirings don by one of Leo Fenders assistant... but my newest project is a bicycle i bought me a few months ago, it must have been built in the late 60s and you can see the original condition of the bike on the pic with the white frame... spent hours and hours polishing the chrome parts and my best friend at the time is the polishing-compound:)) but it´s just fun working on it cause it´s quality steel, quality chrome & parts etc... too busy at the time for working on it but hopefully i´m finishing this project until mid of summer... and sure give it a ride!!!
