Re: Chevy Volt
No, I am actually seriously considering it I actually have not driven one, but a year or so back I looked at one at a dealer and kinda liked it. I really liked the interior room in it and for a small car it is pretty easy to get in and out of. I do actually like the look of it too. Guess you either like the look or hate it. I think it's the best looking of the econo-boxes out there.
I don't think my wife will let it happen though. She likes the Yaris. She rented one once for a week and thought it was a great little car.

Re: Chevy Volt
Hmmm Kia Soul v Toyota Yaris
One looks like they stuck some wheels on a box in the design department & the other one some funky dude got to do the designing that day.
Still when you're old it's got to be the easy getting in & out that sells it

Re: Chevy Volt
Sometimes it's just about the money. I am sure some highly paid designer spent years perfecting the look, but I like the boxy look
Actually the Soul reminds me of a high top sneakers (tennies)

Re: Chevy Volt
You ever see a Tesla - those things go from 0-60 in about 2 seconds, no real torque though

Put it in Sport mode and it's quite responsive. I've heard 0-60 is 6.2 seconds but I have not tested it nor verified it. Electric motors have full torque at all speeds and it can push ya back in the seat pretty easily at any speed.

Re: Chevy Volt
Sweet!
Does it make noise to scare deer away or do you just make rrrr-rrr sounds as you drive?

Re: Chevy Volt
lol, it does not have any kinda of automatic alert system yet. It's in the works though! For now there is a button that chirps the horn to let pedestrians know you are there. It's almost silent at low speed.
I drove past my wife as I was heading out somewhere, and she later told me it had a very sci-fi electric motor sound as it went by.
