Need advice on CPU, HD specs for new computer

Post by [JiF]Uncle Stinky »

As mentioned in my post in the BF3 folder, I accidentally broke off the back part of my hard drive over the weekend while moving it to check my RAM sticks. So I'm thinking of junking that computer, since it's almost two years old and has been giving me all kinds of problems lately.

I can scavenge the RAM, 700W PSU and sound/video cards from it, though, and I have a very good monitor, which I assume means I need worry about only the CPU and hard drive for any new system.

Any advice on what processors and HD specs I should try to get to ensure my new gaming system lasts for a while?

Ah yeah, forgot about that. Thanks.

Though believe me, I will not/not be trying to build one myself.

After reading another one of Badgers absolutely hilarious posts I saw this post again and the humor is still coursing through me like sparks from a shorted out box(eh, I don't know).

I was just thinking that this post could have been entitled "Broke back hard drive"....

lol.
