Now that I've been playing a while I have unlocked different camo versions. Does anyone change camo for different maps and does it make a difference?
I've been splitting my time between support, assault and engineer. I've had fun playing them all, but I have to admit I really like it when I'm support and I can unleash a whole belt of ammo suppressing a position. I often find myself firing long after I need to just because I like the noise and watching the damage inflicted on the position I'm firing on. It is almost as much fun as looking at shiny stuff. Not quite, but almost....

Re: BF3 Question
In your loadout screen click on the appearance tab of whatever class your using and you can roll through the camo's (<>). BTW I didn't realize til a couple of weeks later that you can click on the weapons at the bottom of your deploy screen (just above the deploy button) and it pulls out weapon choices on the fly. So you don't have to go to the customization screen every time you want to change weapons (same format as BFBC2).

Re: BF3 Question
Tissue, depending on the map, some of the different camo options will make a difference especially if you are hiding in the right spot. Snipers especially can be hard to find with the right camo.
You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Re: BF3 Question
It helps to gain points to unlock better gear. The quickest ways to get points are capping flags (450 a pop, better than 4 kills), dispensing ammo/health packs (the points rack up) or reviving guys with the paddles. And you can also get points quickly by using vehicles, especially after you get some of the vehicle upgrades such as infared and proximity sensors.
My experience is that it is taking forever to level up while playing recon. Support is probably easiest.
Also, spam the q key whenever you can - not only will you help your team by spotting enemies, but if you spot someone that's killed you get 10 points.

Re: BF3 Question
I seem to have a problem spotting tanks. I'll arrive at a flag, do a 360 scan for anything nasty, declare the area safe, and then promptly get blown up by an Abrahams that was sitting right on top of me the whole time Those things seem to blend into the buildings and rubble in the background.
