Game crashes

Hi there

when I start BF and then choose "multiplayer game" und "internet" the game crashes. Nothing happens to it, I have to kick it from the task manager. Wasn´t this problem existing 1-2 years ago?

It is always the same even with other mods like DC. Only the gaming with the shortcuts (I call it the shellshock-method )is still working.

Is it only my problem?

I would guess here Alex that you are running Win 7 and that you need to set bf1942 to run in compatibility mode and run as an administrator.

Right click on the bf1942 icon - select properties > compatibility select Windows XP Service pack 2 and tick the run as administrator check box.

That should sort it out.

I had the same problem yesterday, but now its working fine.

I think I had that kind of problem when my firewall had a hickup or the internet connection was not stable.

Ah this rather looks like the Gamespy master server list issue.
We have workarounds for this as discussed at viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4184&p=39062&hilit=+gamespy#p39062
