new battlefield cd

I need to purchase new road to rome and sercet weapons BATTLEFIELD 1942 cds. Amazon sells a few. Am I correct to assume they don't make the software on cd anymore? Where the best place to purchase?

i've got windows 7. Does the software I buy need to be for newer operating systems.

that ad states it works for win 98, me and xp. Is that software ok or should I buy a newer version

No any 1942 cd works with win 7 but you have to run game in admin mode

Hi ilw,

right click on the bf42 icon
select properties
select compatibility mode
select windows xp sp2
click the "run as administrator" box
apply the changes

you are done


You need to make sure that punkbuster runs ok in win 7
see how it goes and post a forum message if punkbuster doesn't work
