Weapons and upgrades
Do you stick with your trusty old weapon with all the unlocks and upgrades you have with it or trade up to the newest unlock without the upgrades and have to start over?
You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Re: Weapons and upgrades
I switch up depending on the map and the gameplay. Maybe that is why I havent advanced as well as everybody else. I did prefer the DAO for close quarters, but I find all of them are pretty good.

If we make prisons a living hell for them, then we might just be sending out devils once they are released. Cruel methods to achieve discipline are a thing of the past! So, keep on dancing! Byron F. Garcia.

Re: Weapons and upgrades
I tend to look at what the stats are for the new weapon & if it doesn't look ny better than my tried & trusted class weapon I'll give it a miss.
I do however try out a new one if it looks good.
I tend to swap around with the extra stuff like mines/repair tools or rpg/javelin more depending on map, squad kits & rush or conquest

Re: Weapons and upgrades
I used to level a gun up until I got the infa-red, and then stick with it.
But since the patch nerfed the IR, I'm more flexible with trying out new guns. I just unlocked the F2000, which sures kills me a lot (hello Gib), so I'll be using that for a while.
I do like the smooth way the M16 fires. And the M249 gets me a lot of long-distance kills.

Re: Weapons and upgrades
It tends to be the case that the weapon you unlock is better than the previous one anyway but I do have my favourites (A91 with Suppressor, Foregrip and IRNV - 360 kills and counting) but it is good to experiment as different characteristics force you to play a different game.
I have tried the DAO on a couple of maps but it gets frustrating when you forget and start blasting away at a distant taget and he drops you with a single shot.
Likewise try running and gunning with a support MG and you soon come a cropper.
that said I really doslike some of the guns like the MP45 or the M7 as the mag size is too small and if you don't drop a guy with the first 10 shots you are likely to end up dead as you're reloading
