Out of commision (destined for the Combat Support Hospital)!
Wish me luck fellas. I'm having surgery on my right hand tomorrow and probably will be unable to play BF42. I have what's called "DUPETRYN’S CONTRACTURE" which means:
"Within the palm of the hand is a fascia layer that protects the tendons, vessels, and nerves in the hand. Sometimes this layer thickens and causes the fingers to pull into the palms. This orthopedic disorder runs in families, and other subgroups of individuals such as people with northern European decent (e.g. Viking ancestry)"
This is the 8th surgery for my hands (the 2nd for my right hand).
The doc says it will take about two hours to fix. He has to work on my pinky and middle fingers along with the palm. Also because of the issues with my pinky he will take a skin graph from my right bicep to patch things up a bit. (YUCK!!!)
Unfortunately there's no cure only treatment. The thing is that the stupid disease is known for returning somewhere else. It can even show up in your feet! Thank God i don't have that.
The doc says it can even show up in your "wandilier" or your manly place for lack of a better term . I really thank God I don't have that either!!!
My doc is happy though, because with this being surgery number 8, he can add a new wing onto his house!!!
Anyway, I'll let you guys know what happens, even if i have to type with one hand (which means, "ONE FINGER")
Thanks!

WOW never heard of that. Good luck!
I have a hard enough time playing without that problem. Has it affected your game play a long time or at all?

Fortunately it doesn't affect game play (I should use this for an excuse!!!) but just try not to grip a hammer or a shovel the wrong way!

Good luck Major!
My mom had an accident at work that caused this same thing to happen to her hand. She also had multiple surgeries.
Just remember. Owww Owww it hurts, Honey, can you please get me a pint from the fridge!
Repeat each time the glass is empty.
Let us know how you are doing.

Major, your post sums you up perfectly.
Although you are going through a bad patch you still manage to bring some humour with it.
I hope all goes well with your surgery & you make a quick recovery.

Thanks for all the kind words!. Just to update everyone, all went well. And yes, OWWWWWW!. The doc said he did not need skin graphs, but there are tons of stitches. I guess my hand looks like a road map. The really fun part is in the bathroom, "HONEY, I'M DONE!!! I'll see how long it will be before making the attempt to use the mouse. The left hand approach is just to hard. Thanks again guys!
